What is a CRNA?

Well, as many of you already know, I decided to back to school AGAIN (for the LAST time)! This fall I began studying anesthesia in Jackson, TN at Union University. The program I chose is a 36-month doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) program with an anesthesia specialty. Upon completion of the program, I will take "boards", which is an exam, that accredits nurse anesthetists or CRNAs (certified registered nurse anesthetists).

So, You Ask, What is a Anesthetist, Nurse Anesthetist, or CRNA?

Check out my new blog for school (it is part of a class) to follow my journey to becoming an anesthetists and find more out about what I will be doing!

I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband that supports me in this effort! And, YES, I am a busy lady!

Erickson Wedding

Jacob's beloved babysitter married this weekend, and she asked Jacob to be a part of her big day! I was excited for Jacob to help, but NERVOUS about what exactly he would do! Jacob is VERY attached to Abby and I think I had a nightmare about every possible scenario that could go wrong -- including refusing to leave Abby to walk down the aisle and throwing a huge fit or running back down the aisle after her and throwing a huge fit! Luckily, that little man did fantastic! We did a LOT of talking about Miss Abby's Big Day and how he had a very important job that she needed his help with! He was very SERIOUS about it and stood on his "J" the entire rehearsal and the entire ceremony!
It was truly a pleasure to watch this young couple (and their families) work together and make a beautiful wedding come together perfectly! I have a whole new respect for these two, and we will continue to pray for them as they settle into married life, move, and both begin their careers! They are such a special couple!

Half A Year Old

I cannot believe Morgan is already half way to her first birthday!! She is getting big way to fast and is developing quite a little personality! I laugh nearly every day at the differences between boys and girls (or at least my boy and girl)! She is a little snuggle bug and is usually very content to be held and rest her head on your shoulder, but she HATES being in a room alone or being "ignored". I thought she was going to be my laid back girl...And, although she is more laid back than Jacob she is NOT very laid back -- She loves jumping in her jumperoo, playing with her new crawl-ball, and is scooting-inch worming all over the place! I am sure full on belly off the floor crawling is just around the corner!
This is Morgan's usual face... :) I guess since she always has a stuffy nose she has to have her mouth open... LOL

Happy Girl

LOVES her Brother!
